The trade deadline is
December 2 @
1:00pm EST (Week 13). There is no limit to the number of trades a
team can make. Trades do not necessarily need to include the same
number of players, though each team must stay within the restrictions
of the 20 man roster. Trades must be made
in an attempt to benefit BOTH teams. If a trade is discovered that
appears to be collusive, or one-sided to the point that it cannot
benefit one of the parties involved, league members may protest the
trade and send it on to the League Office for review. The proposed
trade will be displayed for review and the League Owners not
involved in the trade have 48 hours to veto it.
Four teams must veto the trade for the trade to be declined. The
League Office reserves the right to handle all trade situations to
preserve the integrity of the game. In any
situation where the League Office believes that a proposed trade is
collusive or will not fairly benefit both teams, the League Office may
reject the trade. The League Office further reserves the right to not
accept trades when the League Office believes, using reasonable
discretion, that a team owner has acted in a collusive or
un-sportsmanlike manner or in any other manner which undermines the
integrity of the game. Decisions of the League Office on all such
matters shall be final.
-
Each team may place one player on the
Injured Reserve list providing that player is listed on the official
NFL Injured Reserve.
-
Free Agents may be acquired after week
1 through week 13.
Free Agency ends November 30 @
5:00pm EST. Free agents may be acquired Tuesday - Thursday of
each week. Deadline is 5:00pm (EST) on Thursday. Unless a Thursday game exists then free agency for the week ends 24 hours before game time.
Signings will occur on Thursday night
for
Sunday games or Wednesday night for Thursday games. Each owner must email
the Commissioner
with requested player/s. If more than one owner request same
player/s, player/s will go to team with lower winning percentage.
If winning percentages are equal, player/s will go to team with fewer
points scored. If those are equal then player/s will go to
team with more points given up. After that the Commish will decided.
No more than two free agents can be acquired by one team per week.
These rules are done in hopes of balancing the
league.
- Any owner controlling more than one team in the
league, either through multiple teams or by agreement with another
owner or owners, is guilty of collusion. Collusive control of an additional
team is demonstrated by any transaction or series of transactions that
works to the exclusive benefit of one team and the detriment of the
other. Examples of collusive activities are: trading a high
ranking athlete for a much lower ranking athlete or waiving a healthy
high-ranking athlete to acquire a lower-ranked athlete. If the
Commissioner determines, at his sole discretion, that a owner has
colluded or is colluding, that owner and any other owner involved in
the collusion may be removed from the league with or without
notice. The Commissioner reserves the right to remove owners
engaging in collusive activities anytime during or immediately after
the season. All decisions by the The Commish are final.
- The Commissioner has the power to rule
on all aspects of the game, including but not limited to: league
business, player trades, infractions of these rules and disputes among
franchise owners. The decisions of the Commissioner shall be final and
irreversible. The Commissioner has the right to make any
necessary changes to the game and/or rules as the season
progresses.
-
The League Office receives a high
volume of mail each day, each of which is read by members of the
Commissioner's staff. Questions and/or comments will be dealt with in
a timely fashion by the Commissioner and his staff. Offensive
comments may not receive a response from the League Office and may
result in forfeit of games and/or suspension from the league.
-
By participating in the Great Lake
League Fantasy Football, you release and agree to hold harmless the
Commish and any of his respective parent companies, subsidiaries,
affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agencies (collectively,
the "Released Parties") from any liability whatsoever for
any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising
out of or in connection with the Game or acceptance, possession, or
use of any prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs,
injuries and losses related to personal injuries, death, damage to or
destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or
portrayal in a false light, whether intentional or unintentional),
whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence),
warranty or other theory.
-
Offensive language anywhere in the GLL
will result in:
1. First Offense: verbal warning to the owner.
2. Second Offense: automatic forfeit of a game.
3. Third Offense: suspension from league.
